Madeline Hunt
Tech Support & Dog Enthusiast
Madeline moved to North Carolina from Louisiana in 2021. While in Louisiana, she was heavily involved in the animal welfare community. She has worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. She fostered over 100 animals - ranging from dogs to guinea pigs.
You will often see Madeline at the facility with at least one of her three dogs:
Duke - In 2013, Madeline adopted Duke as a puppy. He is a border collie mix and is extremely vocal. You may encounter him in Agility 101 / Obedience class.
Misty - On Valentine's Day in 2016, Misty joined the family. Misty was Madeline's first foster dog and she just couldn't let her go. She was 7 years old when they adopted her and is still going strong! You may encounter her in Agility 101 / Obedience class.
Frances - In 2019, Madeline recieved a call from a friend at the local animal shelter about a Golden Retriever who was terrified and wouldn't come out of the kennel, making her adoption chances slim. Madeline brought Frances home and over the course of a few months they built a bond so strong that Madeline adopted her. You may encounter her in Agility 101 / Obedience, Advanced Obedience, or Service Dog classes.
Madeline has had a long journey with complex-PTSD and anxiety, so she is currently in service dog training with Frances. If you see her, feel free to ask any questions about the process but please do not touch Frances if she is in her service dog gear, as she is working.
Outside of her work at Jackie's, Madeline enjoys reading, cross-stitching, traveling, and just hanging with the dogs.
