I've worked with dogs most of my life, so it made sense that I would turn my love of dogs into a career. I am an artist, trained in the sports of boxing, Jui Jitsu and have shown Competition Obedience dogs that earn their titles. In working with dogs for competition shows I learned how to teach focus, obedience, loose leash walking, and proper socialization. Included in my desire to train are not only dogs, there are cats, reptiles, and birds. I am now working with horses, learning to understand the nature of the horse and how to communicate with them, and learning to stay relaxed on 1200 lbs.
My belief is that most dogs can be trained as long as you have patience, knowledge of how they learn, an understanding of their nature and creativity. I bring to my training the desire for you and your dog to become a team, a well trained dog is less likely to be rehomed, my goal is to keep that from happening. Dogs learn parallel to children, which my years of experience working with kids has become a real benefit in the training dogs but also being able to translate how to train to the owners. I train to develop not only communication between you and your dog but also to create a lasting companionship.
